MENASINO Foundation

We are delighted to declare the establishment of the MENASINO Foundation, a dedicated branch of MENASINO with the core mission to enhance patient care by fostering the research and educational objectives of our Society. In our pursuit to deliver superior neurovascular care globally, the MENASINO Foundation embodies our unwavering dedication to both the collective neurointerventional community and to the veteran and emerging practitioners who are contributing significantly to this dynamic discipline.

Over History

Throughout its history, MENASINO has observed and led numerous transformations within the medical sphere at large, and particularly within the specialized field that has evolved, encompassing professionals from diverse areas such as interventional neuroradiology, endovascular neurosurgery, and interventional neurology.

Unique Approach

The expansion of our field over the past five years is evident in several key developments and shifts, including the launch of the Journal of Interventional and vascular Neurology (JVIN); an extensively broadened Annual Meeting that brings together practitioners worldwide and features a dedicated Fellows Course for the newest entrants to our field; and the society's name evolution to the Middle East North Africa Stroke & Interventional Neurotherapies Organization (MENA-SINO) to better represent the broad range of backgrounds and geographical locations within the neurointerventional community.

Our Reach

As we aim to broaden our reach by attracting more professionals to our specialty and actively promoting it to prospective members, we are equally committed to strengthening our foundation by investing in initiatives that support the neurointerventional community, leading to enhanced training and scientific breakthroughs. To this end, the MENASINO Foundation is devoted to funding three key endeavors:

The ongoing education of practicing neurointerventionists;
Research grants for dedicated investigators; and
Prestigious research awards presented during the Annual Meeting.

By channeling resources into these particular areas, we believe that we can continue to spur scientific research and discovery concerning treatment modalities for neurovascular diseases, while also ensuring that both current and future practitioners receive the necessary training and education to provide the most advanced and effective treatment options to their patients.

Donation Instructions

The MENASINO Foundation has the ability to accept gifts of stock. If you own an appreciated stock, it often makes more sense to contribute the stock than cash. A gift of appreciated stock generally offers two-fold tax savings. First, you avoid paying capital gains tax on the increase in the value of the stock, and second, you receive an income tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock at the time of the gift.
